Did You Know?

Did you know that Apple Valley Elementary School is operating at 149% capacity? Yes, that means we are teaching 113 students beyond the school’s original capacity. Four of the six elementary schools and the junior high are over capacity across the district.

Five of the six elementary schools were scored in a third-party evaluation to be in “Poor” physical condition due to their age, as many of the schools were built in the 50’s and either have had no renovation or have not had renovation for 25 years. The community is growing and growing fast, while the buildings continue to age.

We are proud of our successes and also recognize our limitations. Our number one goal is to do our best to keep up with today’s ever-changing world so that we can teach applicable, relevant skills to set students up for lifelong success.
